Description:

Jennie Acklin Crawford came to Superior as a seven year old with her family, her father a miner in the Industrial Mine. They moved into a small house in the Industrial Mine camp and she recounts the story of how her family made do in very hard living conditions which gradually improved as more and more miner’s families moved in. She has many specific details about keeping house under those conditions and how the family was able to make a life for themselves by hard work. In Tape B, she talks about living through the depression, her marriage and early life in Boulder and the ends of her parents’ lives.
