Roxanne Bailin, Chief Judge of the Twentieth Judicial District of Boulder County, talks about becoming the first female District Court judge in Boulder County in 1987 and the first female Boulder County District Court Chief Judge in 1998. She describes a series of Treatment Court Programs that she initiated to serve the community better, in particular by helping people in the legal system who have problems with drug and alcohol addiction and those who suffer from chronic mental health problems. She also addresses changes that have taken place in the Boulder County court system over the years.
