George Epp, who went on to become the sheriff of Boulder County, describes his elementary school days at Whittier Elementary School to student interviewers from the Whittier Student Historians’ Club. Topics include favorite subjects and teachers, recess activities, an amusing story about getting into trouble for a mild prank, the honor of being a crossing guard and getting to wear a badge, and working on the school’s mimeographed newspaper.
This interview is one of a series conducted by members of the Whittier Student Historians’ Club about the history of Whittier Elementary School.
