Description:

Mary Kate Rejouis, an ordained priest and rector of St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church in Boulder, grew up in the Whittier neighborhood and was a student at Whittier Elementary School in the 1970s. She describes her years there with great affection and respect for the things it taught her—academically and in terms of values. She also talks about her years at Casey Junior High School; the close-knit nature of the Whittier neighborhood; the place of religion in her life, including her mission and experiences as priest at St. Aidan’s; and other aspects of Boulder’s history and culture—including the annual Bolder Boulder race.
